Rankin will be our photographer!

 

We are super excited to launch our charity fundraising initiative “Marlow Community Against Cancer” 2027 calendar!

​

Taking inspiration from The Calendar Girls - their courage, their cheekiness, their refusal to let cancer define them - We wanted to create something that celebrates the people and places in Marlow,; Something that faces cancer head on, without looking away, but with dignity and a bit of humour; Something that says: we're still here, and we're fighting back; Something that is accessible to everyone in Marlow who has been affected by Cancer and wants to be involved.

The Community Against Cancer Calendar was born from the simple desire to make a real difference, one photo at a time. 

​

We are lucky to have 12 community groups from Marlow taking part, and super fortunate to have the amazing Rankin, an Internationally acclaimed British photographer, publisher and film director renowned for his striking fashion photography and iconic portraits of celebrities, cultural figures and members of the British Royal Family taking the photographs!!

Funds raised will be divided between Cancer Research UK Cancer Research UK | The world's leading cancer charity and the specific charity that Chris’s consultant, supports, The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust - CTRT Home which specialises in research for rare cancers. 

​

We are looking for support from Marlow to help make this a huge success!  From make-up artists and hair stylists to help us on the day of photography (mid-August), celebrities who are happy to help promote it as far and wide as we can, outlets willing to sell it, auction items, a location and donations for the charity ball we will be holding in October, an exhibition venue for the photographs, whatever it is that will help us make this a community success, raise awareness of cancer and ultimately help us be part of beating this terrible disease!
